Yurucamp anime theatrical release reveals premiere date in early summer 2022, new teaser image

The 5 main character girls, now a bit older, look at Mount Fuji in the distance

The website for the anime adaptation of Afro’s manga is Yurucamp (Yurukyan , Laid-Back Camp ) announced the early summer 2022 premiere and new visuals for the upcoming Eiga Yurukyan △ (Laid-Back Camp Movie) on Saturday. The image shows the girl – all slightly older – standing in front of a large field. In the distance among other mountains looms Japan’s iconic Mount Fuji.

Afro said that the staff checked with the manga author at nearly every step of the production process from the earliest draft of the script and design. The author notes that the characters are a bit bigger as well as personal expectations when it comes to seeing what even Afro hasn’t seen. Director Yoshiaki Kyougoku thanked fans for the support that made this film, and joked about once again scouting locations and eating delicious camp food while making the anime.

The five main cast members of the television anime are reprising their roles, and the returning staff from the television anime include:

The first anime premiered in January 2018, and Crunchyroll streamed the 12-episode series as it aired. The ROOM CAMP (Heya Camp) anime spin-off premieres January 2020. The second anime season airs on April 7 and ends on April 1.

The Eiga Yurukyan△ (Laid-Back Camp Movie) will open in 2022. The cast and staff announced the film during an October 2018 event.

Anime adaptation of Afro’s “slow outdoor manga” about a young girl. Rin likes to go camping alone along the lakes that have a beautiful view of Mt.
