Voice actor Yuuki Kaji revealed on his Twitter account on Saturday that he voiced the character Detective Conan Shuichi Akai in a flashback to 17 years ago in Saturday’s episode. Shūichi Ikeda often voices this character in the films and anime of the series.
Akai has been the focus of a number of contributions in the franchise, including the 2014 animated feature Detective Conan: Dimensional Sniper, and the most recent Detective Conan: The Bullet Scarlet, which opens on June 16.
