MADiSON – an upcoming indie horror game from Bloodious Games, with an insanely catchy new trailer that really gives PT/Silent Hills vibes.
Right now seems like a great time to be a fan of all things spooky. With horror games dominating this year’s Summer Games Fest, bringing trailers from the newly announced Aliens: Dark Descent, as well as The Callisto Protocol being hotter than ever, horror fans will enjoy feel free to choose. There’s also MADiSON, an upcoming indie title from Bloodious Games, which recently rolled out a new trailer.
As spotted by DSO Gaming, the latest trailer offers a brief overview of some of the game’s content, as well as a decent amount of footage, all of which is truly terrifying. for this game. It’s no secret to those who have watched that MADiSON has something to do with PT, actually showcasing that hyper-realistic graphic combined with the claustrophobic atmosphere of its own home.
For those unfamiliar with the title, it works like any modern first-person survival horror experience. The whole PT/Silent Hills comparison might be a bit out of date for some. So to put it in a more modern context, it appears to be carrying the torch from the Visage horror game. That game also takes cues from the canceled Hideo Kojima// Guillermo del Toro project, but the main difference here is that Visage is actually a fully released game. Obviously, the removed Silent Hills game has left a huge hole for the horror game fan community.
About MADiSON, one of the things the game introduces is the use of the camera. Similar to the Japanese horror game Fatal Frame on PS2, Bloodious will task players with taking pictures and solving puzzles to progress. The new trailer is a chilling piece of what’s to come, especially for those who enjoy playing the psychological horror genre.
With the Resident Evil 4 Remake now officially out, the genre is fully alive with lots of new titles and the return of beloved classics. It’s hard to say why horror is so popular lately, but there are plenty of indie and AAA releases out there. So, as mentioned before, now seems like the right time to become a fan of horror games.
