Soon, general Yuumi will officially dock at Wild Rift, thereby bringing a new breeze with many interesting things to the Support role.
Until now, the role of Support was often not appreciated for its relatively quiet contributions. However, no one can deny that for the ADC to be able to comfortably promote their abilities, the role of the Support player is extremely important. In Wild Rift, Support generals are usually divided into 2 types: buff support and tank support.
Support buffs are usually paper health champions, but have the ability to create armor, heal as well as “protect” their allies. In contrast, the tank support has a fairly abundant amount of blood, combined with the skill set with hard control, so it often stands tall to withstand or open a fight. Yuumi can be considered a form of Support buff, however, the mechanism of this cat is extremely special.
Specifically, Yuumi has a 2nd move called Like a Picture With a Shadow that helps this general to always be in a state of entanglement with his allies. Regardless of when Yuumi builds armor or heals, the effect is always applied to both herself and the ally she is Encircling. In Wild Rift, it can be said that Yuumi is the only champion who cannot function independently in a position other than Support.
However, that cannot be why this amount of damage is underestimated. During the laning phase, if not careful, the enemy can completely get a large amount of health from Yuumi’s Drifting Arrow. This explains why many players are hatching plans to turn Yuumi into a support champion with full magic damage build.
Another special thing about Yuumi lies in the fact that in the mid-game, this cat can pair with all other allies in the team, especially the jungle player. At this point, usually Yuumi will leave the ADC farm safely alone on the road, while herself will “swing” with the jungler to control big goals or invade the opponent’s jungle. During teamfights, Yuumi can constantly change her “host” to suit the situation. When necessary, this cat can completely … abandon her allies to avoid sacrificing her life for the enemy.
Overall, Yuumi is an extremely desirable new champion because of his unique skill set. Hopefully, Yuumi will be a breath of fresh air for the Support position in Wild Rift, where this role has never been appreciated for its importance.
