A player discovered that if the last attack on a monster is made by Wukong’s shadow, neither experience nor gold is gained.
In some recent updates, there are champions that have been given the opportunity to return after a long period of being “out of the meta”. Prominent among these, and has proved extremely useful at MSI 2022 with a win rate of up to 65.4% is Wukong. In particular, in this comeback, Hou Vuong does not play in the familiar Top lane position, but a rather new position: Jungle. All thanks to the newly revised skill set that makes W – The Mischievous Warrior an extremely effective gank and escape tool.
But recently, a gamer discovered that Wukong’s W move is really helping this general to clear soldiers quickly, but only, players have to be really careful. Specifically, when this player uses Wukong to eat the Red buff, Wukong’s shadow is also buffed with the Ashes effect when cloned. But when this effect of the shadow kills a monster, the original gains no gold or experience. Also, when large Rock Monsters are defeated by the effect of the ball, there are no small Rock Monsters as they should be. And this makes male gamers extremely surprised.
And right below this gamer’s post on Reddit, Caedrel himself – “the king of bugs” answered this question. According to Caedrel himself, when the effect/hit from the ball that deals ultimate damage kills the target, the original won’t gain anything but clear the minion faster than normal.
In addition, Caedrel also said, it was because of the shadow that caused the effect to defeat the Big Rock Monster, but after that, this shadow disappeared, making it impossible for the Small Rock Monsters to appear. Because, according to Caedrel’s theory, the appearance of Small Rock Monsters depends on the object that defeated them. And when the target that kills them completely disappears from the map right at the time this little monster is about to appear, the mechanism will automatically stop.
The incident is still controversial in the League of Legends community. Some say this is a game mechanic, while others say it’s clearly a serious bug that affects gameplay. Of course, Riot has not yet commented on the incident even though the post on Reddit has existed for more than half a day.
