Gen.G Esports’ new jersey at Worlds 2022 received mixed reviews after its official launch.
Since Gen.G announced the 2022 World Championship uniform, the fan community has had a lot of backlash when thinking that this design is really not eye-catching. In addition to removing the main black and gold color of the team, the highlight in the middle of the shirt with the tiger logo is said to be quite humorous, unlike the spirit of the team at major tournaments like Worlds.

However, there is also a part that thinks that Gen.G’s design this time is quite airy and looks cute. This also makes it easier for this shirt to reach a wider audience than usual.
Before a series of comments from fans, CEO Arnold of Gen.G also quickly spoke about this new shirt. He thinks this is an innovation of Gen.G but also apologizes to fans for not being able to create a uniform that makes many people happy.

“I know most people have a bad reaction to the new Gen.G uniform. With the aim to innovate, highlight and aim to create groundbreaking esports fashion, we have really taken the risks with this design. Personally, I really like this shirt, but it makes no sense when the fans don’t like it.” CEO Gen.G gave an interview.
“As a CEO, I am also determined to adjust the shirt model, but the deadline given by Riot has passed, so this will still be the shirt that Gen.G players wear to compete at Worlds 2022. However, in order to avoid this situation from happening again next year, we will seriously review the design direction and process. Of course we still take risks by working with different designers.”
However, CEO Gen.G also announced on his personal Twitter that this new shirt is still supported and bought by loyal fans. Accordingly, Gen.G set a new sales record for jerseys and quickly sold out after only 30 minutes of release.
