In the upcoming update of Valorant, the Breeze and Bind maps will have some changes to make it more balanced for both sides.
Breeze is Valorant’s 6th map, located at 26° 11’AG “N 71° 10’WY” W , off the coast of the Bahamas, in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle, Atlantic Ocean, introduced to the world. Played for the first time at version 2.08. This map is relatively large, the special feature of this map is in the A-site area when there is a rope to be able to attack the enemy’s house through the A-Hall.
Since its launch, this map has been reported to favor the defensive side more. That’s why in the next version of Valorant, Breeze will be changed relatively much to be more balanced for both offensive and defensive sides.
Breeze map is said to be unbalanced
A-Site
Accordingly, in the A-site area outside A-main (in front of the entrance to A-Site) will be added 2 boxes, along with the A-site door wall will be increased in length. Now, the access road to A-site will be relatively small.
Going inside the A-site, the water area will now be expanded and there will be no more crates for the defenders to hide in to surprise.
In addition, the defensive area will be changed from 3 crates to 1 container so that the site can be recaptured when lost. Before this change, once an A-site was lost, it was very difficult to regain it if going from the defensive side, because there was hardly a place to hide or hide. This change will make retaking A-site a little easier.
B-site
The path from the mid-tunnel to the B-site, when looking directly at the B-site, a rock will appear as shown in the image. This change will make it no longer possible for the faction that wants to take over the B-site.
The B-main area (window segment), now has 2 more wooden crates that cover the direction of the defenders’ movement. Similar to the A-site, before this change it was very difficult for the defenders to retake the site because in all directions they went out without any (or too few) places to hide.
This is one of Valorant’s efforts to balance both offense and defense, similar to how they did with Split. In addition, besides the Breeze map that will be changed this time, the Bind map will have 1 more small change.
Right at the A-Short section, it will be changed from 2 tall wooden crates to 1 small container. This is a very noticeable change from Valorant’s side.
The change makes it easier for the attackers to breathe
On the Bind map, it is very difficult for the attackers to attack the A-site, because an A-short will always be “one way smoke”, not to mention that if the defending side has Sage, it will always wall, making it impossible for attackers to enter the A-short. Besides, Abath will always have 1 to 2 defenders and the way to enter A-site through Abath is also very small. This change will give attackers a better chance to get into A-site.
These map changes will be released with the new Neon agent in Episode 4, on January 12th. Let’s look forward to many new things in the update earlier this year.
