Fancy and Cerberus stopped at LCQ APAC, Valorant Vietnam officially went blank in 2022 after the success of Big BAAM 2021.
Fancy United Esports and Cerberus Esports are the two representatives of Vietnam attending the Last Chance Qualifier APAC with the hope for a final place of the APAC region to attend Valorant Champions 2022. However, the fans’ hopes are in Valorant. Vietnam this year is not much and rightly so, Fancy and Cerberus were quickly eliminated after 3 days of competition.

With Fancy, the number 1 team in Vietnam attended the tournament with a relatively patchwork lineup after a series of dramas on player salaries and competition. It’s not too surprising that the Fancy members, despite being ranked in the top rankings in the SEA region, did not show too much and stopped in front of the unappreciated competitors, ORDER and Made in Thailand. The most unfortunate was probably the match in the losing bracket against MITH, just a little bit more we had destroyed the opponent 2-0 in the tense OT series.

Cerberus remains our region’s last hope as usual. Although he was also overwhelmed by Alter Ego in the first match, Kishi really turned chaos in the match in the losing bracket against GFN. However, Cerberus still had to leave the tournament after losing to ORDER, the team that had previously destroyed Fancy in the first game and put an end to the LCQ APAC.

It can be seen that Valorant Vietnam is much behind other countries in the region, not to mention Paper Rex or strong teams like BLEED, XERXIA, not so prominent opponents like ORDER from Oceania, Alter Ego from Indonesia, the Fancy and Cerberus could not compete with them either. For a developed esports like Vietnam, this is quite difficult to accept when both CS: GO and Vietnam once dominated SEA and competed with other teams in Asia but had Looks like we need more investment and time in Valorant.

So Valorant Vietnam is officially empty-handed in 2022 when no team can pass the group stage in both international tournaments, APAC Playoffs 1 and 2. The previous successes of Big BAAM are probably the following: not enough to set a successful milestone for Valorant Vietnam. There are still many things we have to do in the near future to go deeper into regional tournaments.
