Anime season 5 premiered on January 13 after a 1-week delay
Kodoani.com – The official website for the anime adaptation of the manga epic Kingdom by Yasuhisa Hara announced on Monday that the 12th and 13th (final) episodes of the fifth season will air consecutively in Japan on March 30 at 24:00 JST (actually at 12 :00 March 31 local time), or at 11:00 a.m. EDT March 30.
The first episode of the fifth series was scheduled to premiere on NHK General on January 6 at 24:00 JST, but was delayed to January 13 due to NHK's broadcast of the New Year's Day earthquake in Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture.
The new season of the Kingdom anime features new and returning cast members. DeNeel performed the opening song “Shirubebi”, while Novel Core performed the ending song “RULERS”.

During the Warring States period of ancient China (476-211 BC), war caused countless disasters that caused many people to lose their families and relatives, among them were two boys, Shin and Hyou of the Qin kingdom. The two boys dream of one day proving their abilities on the battlefield. However, one day, Hyou was brought to the royal palace by a state minister… Returning from the bloody war, Hyou returned to the village in a half-dead state.
