Faced with the fact that young gamers are under heavy psychological pressure leading to rest, Sony has linked with Crisis Text Line to partly help gamers relieve the above pressures.
“We believe that games can bring people moments of entertainment and motivation in life in a way that no other form of entertainment can. Playing games also helps you reduce stress, helps you somewhat forget about the difficulties out there and closes family feelings. That’s why at Sony we take the mental health of our members within the PlayStation community very seriously. In order to be able to better serve our players and support them during the difficult times in the coming May (month of increased mental health awareness) Sony will be partnering with Crisis Text Line.” That’s what Catherine Jensen of Sony’s customer service department said about the company working with Crisis Text Line to provide psychological care to customers when needed.
Crisis Text Line is a non-profit organization with hundreds of volunteers who are well-trained in psychological counseling to provide free support to individuals in society who are feeling trapped in their daily lives. . Currently, the new consultation takes place in the US region, all gamers need to do when they feel unwell is to send the keyword CIRCLE to 741741 or directly contact members of the system management, Sony will Contact Crisis Text Line to schedule a staff member to assist you in 5-10 minutes. It is clear that the problem of suicide is becoming very serious not only in Vietnam but also in many other countries around the world, so in order to minimize the unfortunate cases, even game companies are gradually making them. Clean community while providing free support services are welcome work. Hopefully in Vietnam we will soon have similar services.
