Bend Studio has revealed details about its next game along with the reveal of the company’s new logo.
Founded in 1993, the Oregon, USA-based studio is the creator of the Siphon Filter, Resistance: Retribution, Uncharted: Golden Abyss and most recently Days Gone series of games. Online community expert Bend Kevin McAllister offers a look back at the studio’s history in a new PlayStation Blog post, ending with a trailer for a project in development.
PlayStation Studios boss Herman Hulst has previously confirmed that Bend is working on a new IP based on the open world gameplay of the zombie shooter Days Gone, which will be released for PS4 in 2019 and for PC in 2019. 2021. “We are excited to share a piece of news today about our current project,” Bend’s McAllister wrote on Tuesday.

Game director Jeff Ross and screenwriter and director John Garvin, the two most senior creators behind Days Gone, announced their departure from Bend in December 2020. Both have been with the studio previously. called Eidetic, since its early days in the mid-’90s, they’ve written and designed the PSOne action game Siphon Filter and its sequels.
It is reported that the pair have left Bend following internal conflicts over the future direction of the studio after Sony rejected commercials for Days Gone 2. Ross announced last month that he had joined Crystal game studio Dynamics of Tomb Raider as project design director.
