The game was originally slated to launch in 80 countries on May 23
Kodoani.com – The official English Twitter account of the developer Team Caravan announcing the game Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: Battle Chronicle (Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darō ka Battle Chronicle) revealed on Friday that the game is delayed until August 24.
The game was originally scheduled to launch simultaneously in 80 countries including Japan on May 23.
The game will launch for iOS and Android devices, but Team Caravan previously stated that an iOS version is “under review.”
The game held a closed beta test from March 16 to March 22. Sajou no hana performed the game’s song “Mettle Link” (song transcription unconfirmed).
The game is part of the 10th anniversary celebration of the original Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darō ka novel series by Fujino Ōmori and Suzuhito Yasuda. The game will be free to play with optional in-game purchases. The game will allow players to re-experience the franchise’s story and battles with familiar characters such as Bell and Hestia in “anime-like 3D graphics”. The anime’s cast is reprising their roles.
Players can assemble their own team with various training elements such as “explorers”, “supporters” and “scene cards”, and then embark on an adventure.
A separate smartphone RPG from Korean game developer Neowiz and Japanese social networking platform Gree Entertainment is in the works for the brand. Neowiz is developing the game and will distribute the game worldwide except in mainland China. Gree Entertainment is noted for game planning.
