Blizzard had to issue a notice reminding Diablo Immortal players not to “hang up” too much.
Currently Diablo Immortal has many people playing AFK (hanging up, online but not playing the game) to receive free rewards. The game regularly fakes AFK and doesn’t participate in matches like the game’s PvP Battlegrounds and Elder Rifts mainly to earn gems.
In a post on the official Twitter account, Blizzard said: “PSA: Don’t AFK” (“Don’t AFK”). The problem of players being inactive during many events causes game developers to “headache” and take action when the situation is rampant.
Diablo Immortal admins ask players not to AFK.
Diablo Immortal gamers experience genuine frustration with other users AFK during matches. While some players used AFK gamer attack methods to complete in-game quests, even others joined Battlegrounds for daily rewards.
In a recent thread, one player said encountering multiple AFK players in multiple matches in a row. “I’m really frustrated with this type of play just to earn gems without participating in combat,” the gamer expressed. In response to Blizzard’s prompt, multiplayer asked: “Why not?” as a challenge for game developers.
With this situation, it is likely that the game company can adjust the reward mechanism as well as increase sanctions for AFK accounts on purpose. While players eagerly await more news about Diablo 4 offering a lot of interesting things, many people think of season 5 of Diablo Immortal.
Both the Diablo Immortal Forgotten Nightmares update and the next Battle Pass, called Scions of the Storm, are active. Battle Pass Season 5 runs until October 27th server time.
Like the previous Seasons, the Battle Pass for Season 5 of Diablo Immortal features 40 tiers of challenges and rewards, such as Legendary Gems, Crests, Hilts, etc… Again, Blizzard is offering two paid versions fees, but are optional. Players can upgrade the Battle Pass for the duration of the season with the more expensive Empowered Battle Pass or the base Battle Pass.
