Set in the Soviet Union in 1955, the story of Atomic Heart begins when scientist Dimitry Sechenov creates a legion of AI-powered robots to do all the manual labor, so that humans free to live a life of leisure and luxury. Everything was going well until someone sabotaged an updated version of the technology that allows humans to control machines with their minds. The machines began to attack humans and the perfect world quickly fell apart. Players will transform into a man named P-3, an elite soldier enlisted to find out the reason behind the rise of the machines and restore the network to its previous peaceful state. As P-3, players of Atomic Heart will explore Facility 3826, a scientific experimental base located in a sprawling mountain range. Here, players will battle a variety of enemies crafted specifically for the scientific research being conducted at each of the facility’s five labs.
